CasaMaria is personally hosted by William and Maria Rodrigues, together with their daughters Jennifer and Catherine. The family resides on the first floor of the property.
William and Maria are veterans of the tourism industry with over three decades of experience in welcoming and caring for travellers. They also own and operate Coastline Holidays, a Kochi-based tour company that has been operating for the past 28 years.
Their experience has taught them the value of warmth, personal attention, thoughtful service and genuine hospitality. William and Maria are personally available to help make each stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.
Every meal is prepared fresh for the day using carefully selected ingredients and produce sourced from the local market. Frozen foods are not used.
Guests are requested to place food orders at least three hours in advance so ingredients can be freshly sourced and meals can be prepared to suit guest preferences. Maria Rodrigues personally prepares the meals using traditional home-cooking methods and minimal or no preservatives.
The menu predominantly features authentic Kerala cuisine, with an emphasis on freshness, flavour, quality and the comforting taste of food prepared at home.
CasaMaria offers authentic cooking demonstrations for inbound FIT travellers and groups, giving guests an opportunity to experience the flavours and traditions of a Kerala home.
The spacious open kitchen lets guests watch the cooking process up close, interact with the host and, if they wish, join in and help prepare a traditional Kerala meal. Maria has been passionate about cooking for more than three decades and specialises in traditional Kerala cuisine, while also having knowledge of Continental cuisine, baking and homemade wines. Maria and William come from an Anglo-Indian Roman Catholic family background, where welcoming guests and sharing good food have long been part of family life.

The Rodrigues family can help guests plan sightseeing, shopping and temple visits, and can arrange transport when required. Having lived in Kochi since childhood and worked in tourism for over three decades, they know the city well and can guide guests on getting around with ease.
